Dr. Rajkumar Academy for Civil Services is happy to announce its Third edition of SCHOLARSHIP EXAM. Our academy started with the motto of providing excellence and service to the people of Karnataka. In continuation of the same, on 31st March, 2019 we are conducting the scholarship exam and trying to cater to needy aspirants across the state. The exam is conducted with the novel objective and realizing the epitomizing spirit of our beloved Dr. Rajkumar. Aspirants across the state are instructed to make use of the initiative effectively.

This exam is mainly to select talented and hardworking students who are aspiring to be civil servants. Preference will be given to those who are from the economically weaker section with BPL cards.
Civil Services exam is one of the most challenging exams in the country. It requires a lot of commitment and hard work for a prolonged period of time. Students should be ready to commit themselves for entire period of classroom training, i.e., approximately 11 months for UPSC Civil Services exam course and 8 months for KPSC KAS exam course.
Course will be held in Dr. Rajkumar Academy which is located in Bangalore. The out station students should be ready to make their own accommodation in Bangalore for the entire course duration. No residential (Hostel) facility is provided by the Academy.
Students who are not ready to commit themselves for the entire duration of the course, will not be given scholarship.
Students who have already undergone coaching elsewhere will not be eligible for the scholarship.
Only those who have completed their degree or those who are in the final semester are eligible to take up this exam and avail scholarship. Students should be ready to attend classes from June 3rd week onwards for UPSC course and May for KPSC KAS course.
Scholarship can vary from 100% to 50% based on the performance of the candidate.
Scholarship is only for the course fee, aspirants should note – NO MONTHLY STIPEND WILL BE GIVEN.
Details about the exam:
This exam will be conducted in two stages – Written round and Interview.
Written round will be conducted at three centres – Bangalore, Dharwad and Gulbarga.
Interview round will be held in the Dr. Rajkumar Academy in Bengaluru.
Syllabus and Pattern of scholarship exam-
Scholarship examination consists of one general studies paper which will be of objective (MCQs) type.
Paper will be of 2 hour duration.
No. of questions - 100. Each question will be for 2 marks.
Total marks are 200.
Question paper will be set both in Kannada and English Medium.
Syllabus - Current Affairs, Indian History, Geography, Indian Polity, Economics, General Science and General Mental Ability (10th Standard Level).
Written results will be announced within a week of the test.
There will be negative marking of 1/4th of the marks allotted for all incorrect answers.
The number of students selected for the interview round and final selection is at the discretion of the academy.
Venue and timings of the exam will be mentioned in your admission ticket which will be sent to your registered e-mail a week before the scholarship exam.
