The share of agriculture in India’s GDP has been declining steadily. In 1990-91, agriculture contributed 35% to India’s GDP, but by 2022-23, it has declined to 15%. The expansion of the industrial and service sector has been the main reason for the decline.

“Mechanization in agriculture causes displacement of agricultural labour” this statement is pointing toward the issue of urban migration and increasing unemployment among the rural labours because of increasing mechanization.
The second option is not true as man-days decrease with increasing mechanization.
Man-days are a unit of work defining the unit work that can be done by a man in the day and number of days required by him to do that task.

The method of growing two or more crops on the same field simultaneously in a definite row pattern is known as intercropping. After one row of the main crop, three adjacent rows of intercrops can be grown. This helps in increasing crop productivity by unit area.
Crop rotation is a practice where different crops are grown on the same land in preplanned succession.
Mixed cropping is a method where two or more crops are in the same field simultaneously at the same time without any definite pattern.
Micropropagation is the artificial process of producing plants vegetatively through tissue culture or cell culture technique.
