The Karnataka Public Service Commission has announced the Gazetted Probationers Recruitment 2026–27 for filling 319 Group A and Group B vacancies in various departments of the Government of Karnataka.
Of the 319 vacancies, 297 posts belong to the Residual Parent Cadre and 22 posts belong to the Kalyana Karnataka Cadre. The last date for submitting the online application is 31 August 2026.

Important positions include Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Assistant Director, Executive Officer or Assistant Secretary, Tahsildar Grade II, Commercial Tax Officer, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Section Officer etc etc.

Candidates studying in the final year or semester may apply for the preliminary examination. However, they must obtain the required qualification before the deadline prescribed for applying to the main examination and submit the relevant result sheet or marks card in the required form.

The date of birth recorded in the SSLC marks card, transfer certificate or an equivalent recognised educational record will be considered for determining age.
The selection process consists of three stages:
The preliminary examination consists of two objective-type papers.
The main examination is descriptive and includes qualifying language papers and five compulsory merit papers.

The five compulsory papers together carry 1,250 marks. Candidates may write their answers entirely in Kannada or English, except where language-paper instructions require otherwise.
Candidates are called for the personality test in a 1:3 ratio based on the number of vacancies. The personality test carries a maximum of 25 marks.
