Selection Process

The DRDO CEPTAM-11 selection process is conducted entirely in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode:

• Tier-I (Screening Test): General Science, General English, Quantitative Aptitude/Maths, General Intelligence & Reasoning

• Tier-II:

  • STA-B: Subject-specific CBT + Personality Test (qualifying)

  • Technician-A: Subject-specific CBT + Trade Test (qualifying in nature)
    Merit is prepared only based on Tier-II subject performance 

Educational Qualification

• STA-B: Diploma in Engineering / B.Sc. degree in relevant disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electronics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geology, Psychology, Library Science, etc.

• Technician-A: 10th Pass + ITI Certificate in trades like Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Welder, COPA, CNC Operator, Carpenter, Draughtsman, Mechanic, Photographer, Surveyor and more.

Age Limit 

• General: 18–28 years

• OBC: Up to 31 years

• SC/ST: Up to 33 years

• PwBD & Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per Government rules

Salary / Pay Scale

• STA-B: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 (Level-6 Pay Matrix)

• Technician-A: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 (Level-2 Pay Matrix)
