The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has invited applications for Police Constable (Civil) posts in the Karnataka State Police Department under Residual Parent Cadre and Kalyana Karnataka Cadre.

A total of 3991 Police Constable vacancies are available. Interested candidates must submit their application before the last date: 03 July 2026.

The post carries a pay scale of ₹37,500 – ₹76,100. The required educational qualification is PUC or equivalent qualification.

Age Limit

General category candidates must be between 18 and 33 years.

SC, ST, Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates must be between 18 and 35 years.

Tribal candidates living in forest areas of Karnataka are eligible up to 38 years.

Ex-servicemen will get age relaxation of service period + 3 years.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The written exam will have 100 questions for 100 marks. The syllabus includes:

General Knowledge, Science, Geography, History, Indian Constitution, National Freedom Movement, Mental Ability and General Studies including Moral Education.

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Candidates who have not studied Kannada as prescribed must appear for the Compulsory Kannada Language Test of 150 marks. Minimum qualifying marks are 50.
