The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has invited online applications for the direct recruitment of Village Administrative Officers (VAOs) in the Karnataka Revenue Department. A total of 572 vacancies have been announced under the Residual Parent Cadre and Kalyana Karnataka Cadre. The last date to submit the application is 30 July 2026.

Age Limit

  • General Merit: 18–40 years
  • Category 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B: 18–43 years

  • Ex-servicemen: Period of military service plus three years of relaxation
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: Ten years of age relaxation

Kannada Language Test

Candidates who have studied Kannada as a first or second language in SSLC or a higher-level examination, studied through Kannada medium, or previously passed a compulsory Kannada examination conducted by an authorised recruiting body may be exempted from the Kannada language test.

Other candidates must appear for the compulsory Kannada language examination.

  • Nature of examination: Qualifying only
  • Marks obtained will not be considered for the final merit list
